A multidimensional collision of art, sculpture and community
“Phoenix Syndrome” was a unifying theme under which artists from various disciplines created work throughout 2021 and 2022. It was also the given designation of a metal and fire sculpture project which was unveiled at Burning Man 2022. With the phoenix sculpture as our North Star, a multitude of creators from various communities will embark on projects, collaborations and happenings, all with a unifying theme of fire and rebirth.
The year of creation spanned connections through the Los Angeles and San Diego Burning Man communities as well as Southern California’s Hip-hop scene with events, physical art builds and a music video.
