Our Connection
Jon gets the dubious award of being the only long term relationship I’ve ever established via CraigsList. Back when I was a fresh faced green wanna be photographer cutting my teeth, I was poking around online looking for models and actors to collaborate with in order to buildup my portfolio. The most fruitful of these connections was the one with Jon, who responded to my post and invited me to his weekly networking mixer with other fellow San Diego based filmmakers, actors, models, musicians and multi-media artists.
Having produced and directed many short films (many as submissions to the 48 Hour Film Project) Jon is a fellow connecter and one of my first go-to people when I need to fill some role in some random project. Literally as I type this sentence, it is occurring to me that I should ping him to see if he has any costume designer recommendations for a marketing photography project I’m working on with a client. Jon is a fellow connecter and has been my first call more times than I can possibly remember.
